The compound PEEK+steel sleeves (patent pending) are the centerpiece of the ZircoFit system.
Crimped with the appropriate squeezer, this assembly has a much stronger grip on the capillary than what would be possible by only pressing a normal conical ferrule onto a plastic sleeve.
The 13 mm sized sleeves are used for connections with additional PTFE protective tubing.
