Improved Specificity of Western Blot Following Processing at 4°C Using BlotCycler at 4°C Using BlotCycler
Two procedures involving incubating antibody were compared – manual and automated.
The manual procedure involved incubation of the primary antibody at 4°C while the rest of the procedure was performed at room temperature. The automated procedure involved performing all the processing steps 4°C using the using BlotCycler automated system.
Processing with BlotCycler™ show no nonspecific bands for a clearer result.

Conclusion:
The data suggests that precise performance of blocking and washing steps in addition to the temperature at which these tasks were performed, eliminated nonspecific bands and generated high quality results.
